Before your first visit with me there are a few things I want to cover so that you feel comfortable and well informed.
This website is here for you to have questions answered and also to help you in the booking process. Please be sure to visit the FAQ for more information. In the event your questions are not answered always feel free to reach out to me at sbstanghair@gmail.com. If you are unsure what service you would like, or have questions as to what would be best, I always recommend simply booking a free, in-person consultation. From there we can decide the appropriate services for a future date.
Upon booking your first appointment with me you will be provided with an email listing the date and time of your upcoming service.
As the date of the appointment approaches, you will receive a reminder call to confirm or make changes as needed.
Please be mindful of my cancellation policy when making changes.
On the day of your appointment we will begin with a consultation, discussing together our plan for your visit as well as any future goals we might have for your hair.
I truly love making a client feel welcome and comfortable.I enjoy offering my advice and suggestions as to what would best suit them. I take into consideration their own personal style, hair type and lifestyle while taking care to include the clients personal goals and input.
From there, we will move forward with the desired service and I will finish the look off with a complimentary blow-dry and style.
I will also be sure to cover an at home regimen to keep your hair looking its best even after you leave my chair.
Keratin Treatment: Keratin treatments are a wonderful way to help clients with curlier or frizzier textures, manage and style their hair. There are some at home tips to follow to make sure you get the most from your service. It is important to avoid getting the hair wet or damp at all immediately after receiving the treatment as it can affect the desired result. For Keratin Express treatment you must wait 8 hours and for the Keratin Natural treatment you must wait 72 hours. In the event the hair does get wet during this time period, dry the hair immediately and use a flat iron to smooth the hair. After the required time has passed you may wash and style your hair as normal. To ensure the longevity of your treatment it is important to use sulfate free shampoo. I am happy to recommend products to maintain the best results of your treatment. Swimming in chlorinated water or salt water should be avoided. In the event that you do, be sure to rinse the hair thoroughly after. Keratin Treatments can be such a wonderful change for not only your hair but also your lifestyle so following these helpful tips will allow you to protect and maintain your new texture.
Extensions: Extensions are life changing and an exciting investment so it is important to know how to care for your new hair properly. The hair that I source is of the utmost quality and is real human hair. Be sure to use quality products to protect and treat the hair exactly as you would your own natural hair. Keeping the hair well detangled, particularly near the bonds, is very important. When detangling or styling be mindful not to comb over the bonds or use too much tension when brushing. Avoid getting styling products near or on the bonds to avoid slipping or weakening of the bonds. Also, avoid getting chlorinated water or salt water on the bonds. In the event that you do be sure to rinse the hair thoroughly after. Following these tips allows you to fully enjoy your new look and prevent damage to the extensions and your own natural hair.
